Mitski – Goodbye, My Danish Sweetheart

When I first heard it, I couldn’t quite put my finger on what Mitski’s song Goodbye, My Danish Sweetheart was about. I got a strange, uneasy sense of discord every time I listened to it. But at the same time, I was completely captivated by it. Is this how crack addicts feel? I don’t know, but I do know that I wanted to hear the song over and over again.
